About family counselling

Family counseling is for you that seek to cultivate healthy relationships within your family unit. Navigating family dynamics can often prove challenging and seeking outside support can be invaluable. 

In this therapeutic setting, you’ll receive guidance in exploring family dynamics, strengthening connections, and identifying the necessary steps to foster resilience and growth. Together, we’ll delve into your relational dynamics, attachment patterns, and strategies to overcome obstacles. 

Family relationships are intricate, and counseling provides a platform to unravel recurring patterns and establish a sense of security and stability within these dynamics. By doing so, you’ll lay the groundwork for collective and individual growth. 

My goal is to provide you with the tools and support needed to navigate life’s challenges with compassion, empathy, and strength Family counseling is open to all family units, whether you’re seeking support with a parent, adult child, sibling, or another close family member.

Sessions

Sessions are 90 minutes and are held in Swedish or English.

The sessions are tailored to your family unit and your specific circumstances. Reflection time between sessions is encouraged, and exercises to practice at home can be beneficial for your progress.

In-person sessions are held at Yoga Folks facilities on Södermalm in Stockholm, while online sessions are available from anywhere to accommodate your needs and preferences.Together, we’ll establish the structure of the therapy process to best suit your goals and needs.

Method

With a focus on your relationships and its needs, my goal is to equip you with tools to enrich your everyday lives. Together, we’ll cultivate a nurturing environment where both individuals and the family unit can heal and grow collectively. 

I employ an integrative therapeutic approach rooted in psychosynthesis, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), compassion-focused therapy, and ACT. Additionally, I integrate tools from empathic communication and attachment theory. 

Through exploration of needs, emotions, and behavioral patterns, you deepen your awareness and uncover insights into fostering a healthy relationship dynamic together. 

Therapy is a process, and the approach is tailored to what best serves your relationship’s current needs.
